With school budgets stretched thin, it takes a lot of extra funds to keep a band program going. Instruments, music, uniforms, transportation, clinicians, and other expenses are not covered by the amount of money allocated by the school system. Fundraising has always been a fact of life for band parents but in our current economic environment it becomes even more critical.
For these reasons the Boosters hold several major fundraisers per year, including the Christmas Tree & Wreath sale. We are currently collecting laser and ink jet printer cartridges for recycling.
The band parents also run the concession stand at football games.
To volunteer, please email Regina Lukens, Rhonda Oksman or the Martin County Band Boosters.
